Cenfura and C4D announce new energy development partnership

Cenfura has agreed to partner with Cover 4 Development (C4D) Residential Solar Consortium in order to invest in building and operating renewable energy microgrids for gated residential communities in the Republic of South Africa. These microgrids will use a combination of solar PV together with energy storage and will distribute power through the Cenfura platform.

There are currently 6500 gated residential communities in the Republic of South Africa with a potential demand for power of around 3000MW. These microgrids will ensure energy security for the gated residential communities, reduce reliance on the national power grid and deliver a positive impact to the environment.

The partnership will deliver the first microgrids in Gauteng Province during Q1 of 2020.
