Cenfura has agreed to partner with Cover 4 Development (C4D) Residential Solar Consortium in order to invest in building and operating renewable energy microgrids for gated residential communities in the Republic of South Africa. These microgrids will use a combination of solar PV together with energy storage and will distribute power through the Cenfura platform.
There are currently 6500 gated residential communities in the Republic of South Africa with a potential demand for power of around 3000MW. These microgrids will ensure energy security for the gated residential communities, reduce reliance on the national power grid and deliver a positive impact to the environment.
The partnership will deliver the first microgrids in Gauteng Province during Q1 of 2020.
“We see this as a strong complementary partnership that will drive forward IPP services and create jobs inSouth Africa” said Randall Meals, Cenfura CEO.
We are very enthusiastic about the partnership with Cenfura energy and believe that the combination of our joint expertise creates a unique and optimized blend of technology and sound financial models that could revolutionize and accelerate the deployment of clean energy based micro grids, providing our clients with energy security whilst saving them money – Dirk Koetze, C4D, CEO.
C4D operates Resrenew – a scalable, commercially viable residential solar energy provider that leverages a novel commercial model and next-generation technology framework to present an unmatched consumerand investor value proposition.
Cenfura Energy was established with one goal – to accelerate the adoption of fully distributed renewable energy across the globe. The desire for clean, local renewable energy requires a radical transformation and decentralization of the world’s energy systems.
As an independent power producer, Cenfura’s role will be to lead this transition by implementing systems and operating assets in the world’s next generation energy systems.
